The questions you ask
Name, email and phone are collected on every event and can't be removed — they're what identifies a person at check-in. Everything else is yours to choose, on the Form tab.
Each question can be one of seven types:
- Text and Long text — a short answer, or a paragraph.
- Email and Number — validated as you'd expect.
- Dropdown — a fixed set of options you define, such as pace groups.
- Checkbox — a yes/no, good for waivers and consent.
- Date — a date picker.
Add a question from the panel on the right, then label it and set whether it is required. Example questions.
- Choose a field type, or one of the presets, to add a question.
- Type its label — this is what registrants read.
- Tick Required if the form shouldn't submit without it.
- Use the arrows to move a question up or down; the order here is the order on the event page.
Keep the form short. Every extra required question is another reason for someone to abandon it halfway — ask for what you'll actually use on the day.
Capacity and approval
Both live on the Preferences tab, under General.
- Capacity records the number of places you are planning for. Leave it empty for unlimited. Your guest list shows the registration count against it, so you can see when you are getting close.
- Require approval marks the event as one you intend to confirm by hand rather than treating every registration as automatically in.
- Visibility is here too — public events are listed on your club profile, private ones are link-only.
Both are records of your intent rather than gates: today JoinRun does not turn registrations away once capacity is reached, and it does not hold them in a pending queue when approval is required. Watch the count on your guest list and close the event by making it private if you need to stop it.

For anything about a specific event — the route, what to bring, a place you can no longer take — contact the host through the links on their event page or club profile. They hold the guest list; we don't.
