Create your first event

Set the name, time and place, publish it, and share the link.

Start an event

Your dashboard lists everything you've run and everything coming up. Creating an event opens a form with three tabs: Details, Form and Preferences.

Your dashboard

Upcoming and past events, with search and a grid or list view. Example club and events.

Details: what, when and where

  1. Add a cover image. It becomes the event's thumbnail everywhere it is shared, so it is worth doing.
  2. Type the event name.
  3. Set the start and end. Each has its own date and time picker, and the timezone shown beside them is the one the event runs in.
  4. Write a description — the route, the pace, what to bring.
  5. Set the location. Search for the meeting point and drop the pin.
The Details tab

Cover on the left, everything you type on the right. Example event details.

Drop the pin even if the address is obvious. It is what puts a map on the event page, and it is required before location-based attendance can be switched on at all.

Publish and share

Saving publishes the event. A public event appears on your club profile and can be found by search; a private one is reachable only by its link. You can flip between the two at any time from the event's actions.

Every event gets two links: the full one, built from your club username and the event name, and a short one for messages and stories. Both are copyable from the event.

Sharing an event

Copy either link, or download a print-ready poster. Example event details.

  • Duplicate event copies everything — description, questions, preferences — onto new dates. It is the fastest way to run a weekly session.
  • Edit event changes a published event in place. The link stays the same, so anything already shared keeps working.

For anything about a specific event — the route, what to bring, a place you can no longer take — contact the host through the links on their event page or club profile. They hold the guest list; we don't.

For help using JoinRun itself, email us. Include the event link and a short description of what happened.
