When check-in opens
Attendance is a separate step from registering, and it only works around the time of the event itself. Open the event page when you arrive and a check-in panel appears below the details.
- Too early and the page says Attendance isn't open yet.
- Too late and it says Attendance for this event has closed.
- Not every event uses check-in. If the host hasn't enabled it, no panel appears and there is nothing for you to do.
Mark your attendance appears on the event page once check-in is open. Example event details.
Scanning the venue QR
Most hosts display a printed QR code at the start. Scanning it proves you are there, so no location permission is needed.
- On the event page, choose Scan event QR.
- Allow the browser to use your camera, then point it at the code displayed at the venue.
- Enter the email address you registered with, then choose Mark me present.
Each event's QR is unique to it. Scanning last week's poster returns That QR doesn't match this event.
